Account Management team in Plaid’s Fintech customer segment
leverages our deep technical, product, and industry knowledge to
help our Fintech-focused customers build and scale amazing
applications. We act as partners, advisors, and advocates for our
customers to shape how consumer and business interactions with
their finances will drastically improve in the coming years. Plaid
is looking for an experienced customer-facing professional to
manage and grow our client relationships with a portfolio of the
most strategic customers in our Fintech segment. Many of these
customers are long-term partners and already drive significant
revenue for Plaid. The account manager will be responsible for
further deepening relationships and fostering the next stage of
growth with these clients. The right candidate is a natural at
building strong partnerships and has demonstrated success owning
and growing customer relationships with large, strategic clients,
including developing a deep understanding of customer priorities,
motives, and key drivers, and cultivating existing and forging new
senior stakeholder relationships; is deeply curious and solutions
oriented; and has demonstrated success working internally and
cross-functionally to drive solutions for customers. You will be
the primary point of contact for your customers and will work with
them on all stages of integration, scaling, product expansion, and
partnership management. You will be responsible for working
directly with key stakeholders ranging from developers to
executives to help them create the applications that will empower
businesses and consumers with their financial data.
Responsibilities Own the overall relationship with your portfolio
of customers in our fastest growing customer segment. Build
relationships with the C-Suite and Product teams to grow and retain
revenue. Own revenue targets, which includes identifying and
closing new upsell opportunities and leading commercial
negotiations for contract renewals. Help customers integrate and
launch on Plaid. Solve complex customer challenges through creative
problem solving by working cross-functionally with Sales, Risk,
Legal, Finance, Commercial, Marketing, and Business Operations.
Qualifications 6 years of quota carrying software or technology
account management experience Demonstrated account management and
sales experience. Customer empathy and deep desire to see customers
succeed. Desire to get technical and the ability to learn the ins
and outs of Plaid's APIs. Interest in financial services and
technical products; a high degree of intellectual curiosity.
Excitement to work in a high-growth, ever-changing environment and
to help build processes and tools as needed. Ability to work with
all types of people and build long-lasting relationships. The
target base salary for this position ranges from $130,560/year to
$$163,200/year in San Francisco and New York. The base salary range
listed for this full-time position excludes commission, equity and
benefits. The pay range shown on each job posting is the minimum
and maximum target for new-hire salaries. Actual pay may be higher
or lower depending on factors like skills, experience, and relevant
education or training. Additional compensation in the form(s) of
equity and/or commission are dependent on the position offered.
