The Regional Maintenance Manager will lead the California HYCO Maintenance organization supporting all production facilities within the region. Will work closely with Plant, Line and Technical Management, with a focus on driving consistency in maintenance activities. This includes improving execution efficiency, utilizing effective maintenance tools and methodologies, and developing talent. The expectation of the Regional Maintenance Manager is to improve plant reliability and decrease costs, in direct support of the business. This position reports to the NA Maintenance Manager.ResponsibilitiesSafetyResponsible for developing a safe work culture, both directly and through peer influenceServe as the champion for safe completion of work at facilities, through scope planning, execution, and training of personnelThis is a safety sensitive positionCostAccountable for establishing the fiscal year maintenance budget and monitoring subregion spendingDevelop the maintenance expense and capital long term strategic planApprove and appropriately allocate (expense vs. capital) all major maintenance spendingResponsible for accurate and timely forecasting of major and routine maintenance spending, as well as plant capital spendingResponsible for outage budgeting and spending resultsLeadershipDrive consistency in the execution of maintenance activities across the subregion to complement business objectivesResponsible for direct supervision of Area Maintenance Supervisors and Regional TechniciansStreamline process for collaborating with site teams on outage planning, including ownership of some parts of the processChampion the consistent use of maintenance systems, including budgeting and forecasting tools, SAP, outage planning, and resource schedulingPlant Support / Coordination24/7 availability for operational emergenciesProvide or resource the vital technical skills to support each activityActively drive resolution to technical problems in real time, including scheduling meetings and collaborating with engineering teamsIdentify and resolve systemic plant maintenance problemsInitiate and drive improvement projectsLocate and develop regional contractors for plant supportIdentification and delivery of maintenance training needs for plant and staffSupport plant management with the recruitment of plant-based maintenance staffOngoing optimization of preventive maintenance programCoordination with Materials Management and support refurbishment activities on complex spare partsImplementation of SB-740Qualifications15+ years of experience in maintenance, engineering and/or operationsMinimum of 5 years of management experience, coupled with excellent broad based technical skills and good business acumenOrganizational, planning, interpersonal, and communication skills are critical to the positionProven track record of success in Safety, Reliability, Quality, and an ability to promote and develop maintenance excellenceMust be able to travel up to 50% within the regionB.S. in a technical field is a plusAir Products proudly values the skills, dedication, and leadership that veterans bring to the table. This is the pay range that we reasonably expect to pay for this position.
