POSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for coordinating and supervising construction work of project personnel including craft. Responsible for providing response and coordination for a variety of construction. This is a temporary position 2-3- months.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS;EDUCATION/TRAINING:Must possess a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED). Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of directly-related supervisory experience in a federal agency construction work. Formal training in related fields will substitute on a year-for year basis. Current or prior DOD/DOE-specific training.KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:* Experience interacting with federal agencies including DOD, DOE, USACE, DHS, NAFAC and BLM.* Knowledgeable in federal regulatory laws, regulations and guidelines including CAA, CERCLA, CWA, DOT, NEPA, NRC, RCRA, SARA, and TSCA.* Working knowledge managing DOE, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, NAVFAC and/or AFCEE programs/projects including FUSRAP, FUDS, FIRP, etc.* Strong familiarity with 10 CFR 835, OSHA 1910.120 and other applicable regulatory guidelines within DOD, DOE and NRC.* Federal and state regulator interface including USEPA, USDOT, and NRC.* Understanding of construction management;* Safe work practices and policies.* Safe driving rules and practices.* General inventory and recordkeeping practices.SKILLS & ABILITIES:Highly skilled with computers and instrumentation; specific experience with MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and ProCore.Ability to manage and supervise others.Ability to multi-task projects.Ability to work with time constraints and complete projects on time.Ability to update inventories and other supplies as needed.Ability to understand and communicate complex written and oral instructions.Thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Valid state driver's license.Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screens.Must be available for regular standby assignments and work scheduled off-hours and emergency as required.CERTIFICATIONS:NoneESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Provide for personnel and resource adjustments as needed to meet daily project resource requirements.Ensure safety regulations are being observed and all methods are adequate, up to date, adhered to, and effective.Prepare/review daily, weekly and monthly reports.Supervise and monitor work performance of project staff including providing input on hiring/disciplinary actions and work objectives and effectiveness.Conduct daily project/safety meetings as required.Perform daily project site walk downs to measure performance.Determine material, equipment, and supplies to be used. Transfer equipment and personnel from one project to another as necessary.Maintain time cards and other routine records.Monitor required project training records; schedule training as required.Monitor and interpret regulatory requirements.Provide response to customers on project issues.Interact with local, state and federal agencies as requiredProvide input to and review and approve invoices for assigned project(s).Responsible for assisting with business development of the Federal department.Assist with preparation of bid proposals for requested project work. Attend client site walkdowns to assist with estimating cost of project.MENTAL & COGNITIVE DEMANDS:Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret data; read and understand professional journals, legal documents, codes, construction and engineering plans and technical manuals; provide response in a timely and professional manner; able to write proposals and bids; able to communicate clearly and succinctly on a basic and technical level.Must be able to write procedures, technical reports, and correspondence.Must be able to perform advanced math calculations.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Must possess strength, stamina and mobility to perform project site walkdowns in all weather conditions and with exposure to any potentially harmful environmental conditions.Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.Ability to verbally communicate with, hear and understand others.Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.Ability to walk, reach with hands and arms.Ability to perform repetitive movements of the fingers, hands, wrists and armsOTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include):* Travel required throughout U.S. to supervise and provide oversight on Federal projects.Supervision Exercised:* Supervise and monitor work performance of project staff and craft personnel.Interface Required:* Interfaces with client, teaming partners and/or subcontractors, co-workers, management, suppliers and vendors, local/state/federal regulatory personnel/agencies and the general public.WORK ENVIRONMENT:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to normal office conditions when not in the field. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When performing site walkdowns, employee may be exposed to environmental hazards, radioactivity/contamination, extreme weather conditions, and loud noise.
