Position: Scientist 1 - Bioconjugation Sector: Academic / Research, Consultancy / Private Sector Field: Conservation Science Discipline: Biology Employment Type: Full-time About Us Our organization is involved in research and development of therapeutics for genetic diseases, supporting discoveries from bench to clinical development. We focus on creating innovative therapeutics that significantly benefit patients. Responsibilities

• Synthesize, optimize, and deliver bioconjugates, emphasizing oligonucleotides, for therapeutic development.
• Develop new linker chemistries and bioconjugation methods for targeted drug delivery.
• Use purification and analytical techniques for quality control and validation.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners, manage material transfer, and maintain documentation using Benchling.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, troubleshoot, and advance scientific projects.
• Serve as bioconjugation expert and lead for project communications.
• Analyze data, interpret results, and present findings at meetings and conferences.
• Prepare and optimize SOPs related to chemistry processes.
• Contribute to project milestones and data presentations. Required Skills
  • Extensive experience with bioconjugation strategies for various biomolecules.
  • Proficiency in purification techniques, LC methods, and membrane filtration.
  • Experience with biochemical and analytical techniques like SEC-MALS, LCMS, SPR/BLI, ELISA, SDS-PAGE, and enzyme assays.
  • Willingness to learn new chemistries and work across therapeutic areas.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, self-motivation, and teamwork skills. Educational Background
    • Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Biology, Chemistry, or related fields.
    • 0-2 years of industry or postdoctoral experience in drug development.
    • Strong foundation in macromolecular chemistry, bioconjugation, and analytical chemistry.
