supervision of the Program Manager, the Group Facilitator II
(RAICES) will provide gender-specific services to young girls who
are at risk. The Group Facilitator is responsible for the
coordination and management of a violence prevention and peer
counseling program for young girls between the ages of 8-24 years
old at target schools and community sites. In addition, we will
conduct outreach for gender-specific programs.We are hiring for the
following location(s): MNC Precita Campus or MNC Quesada
CampusESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIESPrimary Functions
- Plan, coordinate, and evaluate gender specific workshops,
recreation, and enrichment activities of the on-site and off-site
RAICES violence prevention program in accordance with contract
regulations.
- Prepare and submit accurate reports as required by the program,
including monthly program report to funding sources (DCYF, DOSW)
and the collection of evaluation and demographic data.
- Support in preparing and submitting accurate reports as

- Develop a curriculum on gender-specific topics, including
violence prevention for young women, in collaboration with other
facilitators.
- Supervise, evaluate and provide leadership development to peer
educators, youth workers, interns and volunteers involved in the
Youth Services Program.
- Plan and implement project-based learning and experiential
outings and activities to enhance participants learning and skill
development.
- Support a program environment that is learner centered,
promotes a sense of physical and emotional safety.
- Support positive relationships between staff and program
participants, and between participants and their peers.
- Perform on-going program assessment and evaluation, participate
in agency planning.
- Supervise, evaluate and provide leadership development to youth
workers, interns and volunteers involved in the program.
- Assist in registration and orientation process for participants
and parents.
- Provide individual follow-up services and information and
referrals to clients as needed and to other MNC youth services and
community services.
- Assume Lead responsibilities as needed, in the event of her
absence.
- Assist in development and implementation of an outreach plan to
schools and community agencies.
- Assist with budget proposals.
- Act as liaison with school, community, public agencies, and
parents/guardians of participants and serve as point of
contact.
- Assist in registration and orientation process for participants
and parents.
- Provide individual follow-up services and information and
referrals to clients as needed and to other MNC youth services and
community services.Secondary Functions
- Collaborate in the planning and production of community events
including Dia de los Muertos, Holiday/Winter break, Black History
month, Carnival SF, Spring break, family nights, program
graduations and showcase, etc.
- Recruit in kind service providers to implement gender specific
activities, cultural enrichment, health and wellness, youth
leadership, and other enrichment activities within the
program.
- Advocate for participant needs, providing referral information,
when appropriate to internal and external services based on
individual participant needs. Provide individual follow-up services
to clients as needed.
- Collaborate with community to coordinate enrichment
services.
- Represent MNC at appropriate community forums and funder
meetings/trainings; maintain superior customer service with
funders, staff, collaborating agencies, parents, and participants
at all times. Adequately inform, share information, and collaborate
with adults.
- Research grant opportunities from government and non-government
agencies.
- Assist Program Lead as necessary with grant proposal
processes
- Maintain accurate program records and follow reporting
procedures. Compile, analyze, verify, and submit data according to
funding schedule and guidelines.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings and as training is
offered.
- Actively participate in the creation and implementation of a
personal staff development plan striving for self-
improvement.
- Must be available to participate in late afternoon, evening,
and some weekend activities as needed (including Memorial Day
Weekend, and during school breaks).
- Supporting other Youth Service Programs as needed.Customer

issues or concerns.POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSEducation:
High School Degree Required. ECE/CDEV or equivalent experience;
working towards an Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Child
Development or in any other related field.Experience: Required 2+
years' work experience facilitating groups and working with
high-risk young men ages 8-17 and successful experience in
developing curriculum and creating and implementing youth
programs.Work Schedule: Employees will be expected to work the
following schedule: Monday - Friday 9:30AM - 4:00PMRequirement:
- Current CA Driver's License, current auto insurance and a clean
driving record.
- Current Physical Health Screening (every 2 years
thereafter)
- Current CPR & First Aid Certificate (every 2 years
thereafter)
- Current Immunizations (TB) (every 2 years thereafter)

- Independent thinker, possess excellent customer service skills,

and Equipment: Standard office equipment such as computers, phones,
photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.Confidential and
Sensitive Information: Ability to maintain the highest level of
confidentiality when dealing with client information.Physical
DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job the employee is
required to sit approximately 50% of the time, walk 30% of the time
and stand 20% of the time. The employee is frequently required to
use hands and fingers to type or handle, feel, and operate objects.
The employee is required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30
pounds. While performing the duties of this job the employee is
occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is
frequently required to speak and listen. Specific vision abilities
of this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust
