If you reside near Concord, California, you'll enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid-remote position as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Monitor unapplied cash accounts and transfer to appropriate accounts
• Monitor, investigate and resolve credit balances by transferring credits from one account another, posting refunds and recalculating and reentering third party adjustments
• Submit refund request to the unit supervisor when required, including all the proper supporting documents as well as copies of all payments rendered on the account
• Interpret contract terms from third party payers to accurately identify appropriate payment
• Completed credit balance report is required by third-party or outside regulatory agencies
• Monitor and review the transfer of balances to outside agencies ensuring proper authorization signatures
• Research and complete payer takeback request to resolve outstanding credit balances
• Contact patients and insurance companies as necessary to gather information needed to determine the appropriate course of action to resolve a credit balance
• Provide individual contribution to the overall team effort of achieving the department AR goal
• Identify opportunities for system and process improvement and submit to management
• Demonstrate knowledge of HIPAA privacy standards and ensure compliance with system PHI privacy practices
• Follow the Health System's general Policy and Procedures, the Departments Policy and Procedures, and the Emergency Preparedness Procedures
• Complies with all HIPAA and JCAHO standards as well as rules and regulations for any outside government regulatory agency, including the processing of appropriate forms and paperwork

    Required Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma/GED (or higher) OR 4+ years of accounts payable experience
    • 3+ years of experience with cash posting, accounts payable, or accounts receivable
    • 1+ year of experience in a healthcare-related position
    • Intermediate level of proficiency with PC applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, Word, and Outlook)
    • Ability to work onsite on a hybrid basis in Concord, CA (approximately 2 days a week as business needs determine) Preferred Qualifications:

        California Residents Only: The hourly range for California residents is $18.80 to $36.78 .
