Job Description:
We have an immediate need for a Help Desk Support Specialist to
join our team. In this role you will report directly to the Manager
of Information Technology and be based in the company's
headquarters located in Concord, CA. This is a hybrid remote work
role, working remotely and in the office as needed once training is
complete. (Training will be completed in the office for the first
30 days).
We are seeking a hard-working and outgoing teammate that can use
their troubleshooting, problem assessment, and investigating skills
to provide excellent front-line support to our internal Information
Technology customers. The team you will be a part of is
collaborative and does not expect you to have full knowledge of
everything you might be exposed to. You will be provided hands-on
direction and training to help you learn. We work a 9/80 schedule
which means every other weekend is a 3-day weekend.
JOB DUTIES:
Provide outstanding customer support in person, over the phone, by
email, Teams and via our ticketing system.
Document solutions and progress clearly communicating service
timelines to users.
Provide exceptional attention to detail and task completion,
documenting solutions.
Follow escalation procedures and respond to users within SLA
guidelines.
Ensure complete and accurate deployment of equipment including
complete responsibility for associated inventory control.
Work closely with a system administrator to perform some entry
level network and server administration tasks.
Ability to identify where processes can be improved and communicate
those changes to your team/manager to improve efficiency.
Meet Users onsite in the corporate office in Concord as needed to
deploy and repair equipment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
2-year technical degree, OR intensive technical Boot Camp
experience (Experience will be considered in leu of a formal
education)
1 -3 years' experience in the Information Technology (IT)
space.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, climb under desks,
etc.
Good listening and comprehension skills to resolve problems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office 365, and
general computing principles.
Understanding of basic networking principals and technologies.
Basic understand of Virtual Computing concepts and
applications.
Ability to troubleshoot computer hardware and software with an
understanding of impact on the organization.
Previous help desk experience.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Some knowledge of Active Directory, VPN connections, and
client/server relationships preferred.
Imaging software experience and deployments
