Department GSC OLLI Administrative Chapter [CGOLAD] Summary of Position Provides leadership and management to the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute ( OLLI ) at Granite State College and works in collaboration with four, community-based, OLLI volunteer teams that support the program. The Director oversees implementation and continuous quality improvement of OLLI systems, policies and procedures, budget, membership growth, fund development and the development and delivery of diverse curriculum and educational activities. The Director is responsible for securing continued funding for the Institute and acts as the primary point of contact between the OLLI office and the Bernard Osher Foundation, the OLLI National Resource Center, Granite State College staff and administration, OLLI volunteers, members, other community organizations and the general public. Experience developing learning programs for an adult audience and working with volunteers. Community organization team building/team work skills. Proven interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in public speaking and fund development. Appreciation of the older adult population and their collective expertise and wisdom. Ability to develop program operating and strategic plans, program policy and management reports. Annual program budget development and ongoing management. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Shows patience and has a sense of humor. Ensure alignment with the Bernard Osher Foundation guidelines and eight criteria for excellence Work to expand the reach of the program in NH by promoting visibility and access Contribute to program's vision and goals Develop and nurture a culture of engagement, respect and sustainability among volunteers, members and staff Draft revisions to policies and procedures to strengthen program effectiveness for consideration by OLLI Steering Committee Oversee fund development plans and fundraising campaigns Prepare and monitor the program's annual operating budget in conjunction with GSC Financial Operations Acquire program resources and supports such as grants, sponsorships, consultants, office and class room facilities, work-study students, member and community contributions Develop and maintain productive relationships across all GSC campuses Provide staff support to the statewide volunteers, Steering Committee and Development Team Prepare statistical status reports for volunteers and College Administrators Prepare reports for and communicates with the Bernard Osher Foundation Network with other OLLI programs across the USA to share information, track trends, and identify areas for effective collaboration Navigate staff and volunteers through fluid change and uncertainty towards opportunities for program improvement and enhancements Make recommendations for future action to College administration and volunteers Duty/Responsibility Staff Supervision: Hire and supervise program staff Facilitate bi-weekly staff meetings; prepare agenda and track progress toward program goals Assess and adjust staff functions and classifications as needed to support program growth Assess business processes and systems, policies and procedures utilized by staff for continuous quality improvement and maximum efficiency Duty/Responsibility Program Development and Delivery: Provide guidance to the Program Manager to ensure the delivery of a diverse repertoire intellectually stimulating, non-credit courses and educational activities, specifically designed for people who are 50 years of age or older with expanded options for remote learning. Duty/Responsibility Member and Volunteer Development: Responsible for building community and ensuring a healthy volunteer and organizational culture Promote lifelong learning, collaborative partnerships and continued development of the program Present and promote best practices for recruiting and retaining members, curriculum development, and leadership with OLLI volunteers at state-wide, full day, training events Supplemental Questions Required fields are indicated with an asterisk (*).
