Join Ryder, a leader in the transportation and logistics industry, as we seek a dedicated CDL B Truck Driver to become an integral part of our innovative and efficient transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods and other articles of trade to our customers. You will be driving a range of vehicles, focusing on safety and efficiency, to facilitate operations and enhance our logistic frameworks. Your role is pivotal in upholding Ryder’s reputation by ensuring consistent safety and timely handling of deliveries. Operate Ryder vehicles with a focus on safety and fuel efficiency. Navigate a variety of routes to deliver cargo to customers on time. Inspect trucks daily to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. Manage documentation of freight services, including delivery tickets and customer documentation. Report defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles promptly. Ensure compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local regulations. Participate in safety and handling training as provided by Ryder. Strong driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws Excellent time management to fulfill delivery schedules Good communication skills for dealing with customers and coordination with dispatchers and other drivers Physically fit to manage loading and unloading goods Capability to manage electronic logging devices (ELDs) and other logistics software 401k Valid CDL Class B driver's license Must have a clean driving record DOT medical card
