with others. TITLE: Systems Administrator DEPARTMENT: Information
Technology REPORTS TO: Director, Information Technology LOCATION:
730 Polk Street, San Francisco BENEFITS: Yes STATUS: Temporary
Fulltime, Non-Exempt, Union CLASSIFICATION: Administrative
SUPERVISES: N/A POSITION SUMMARY: The Systems Administrator is
responsible for maintaining information systems hardware and
software, including telecommunications, servers and workstations.
Identifies and implements system enhancements (software and
hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability
of the network communication systems. Works closely with end users
to troubleshoot any IT issues. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: 3 years of
Desktop support with Microsoft Windows 3 years’ experience with
Microsoft Windows Servers Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
Advanced networking knowledge QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED: Experience
with IS planning and implementation Comprehension of a variety of
desktop and server operating systems and applications (i.e.:
Salesforce, homegrown databases, online platforms, Access,
Microsoft Office, Adobe Cloud, Windows, Active Directory, Office
365, Salesforce, etc.) Experience maintaining Nortel Meridian phone
system Virtualization experience ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND
RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide level 2 and level 3 support Apply
problem-solving skills to troubleshoot user issues Install and
maintain Information Systems assets Create, modify, and maintain
Active Directory users, group policies, and security permissions.
Work with all agency departments to define new systems and
hardware. Monitor, maintain and manage agency’s network through our
Meraki appliances Conduct regular proactive updates of in-house and
cloud based network servers Maintain and manage Agency’s
telecommunication systems Responsible for systems backup, monthly
off-site storage and cloud backup. Develop, maintain and enforce
Information Systems policies and procedures Stay abreast of
technological developments to ensure that Agency’s systems continue
to be effective and efficient Create and maintain documentation on
Information Systems procedures Maintain Information Systems
libraries Demonstrated positive relationships with customers while
responding to IT tickets and requests Manage Infrastructure
projects for the implementation or upgrade of computer equipment

environment varies from quiet to loud. The temperature in the work
environment will range from cold to warm. The work environment will
fluctuate between long periods of time in the server room and
installation, repair and employee assistance throughout all areas
of the agency’s building in San Francisco and occasionally the East
