Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Education in perioperative
setting, Floating required Description: Coordinates and performs
educational activities that promote the competency and development
of nursing staff. Assesses, plans, develops, implements, and
evaluates nursing educational programs in response to health care
demands and trends. Identifies learning needs, department goals,
quality improvement measures, and regulatory changes. Designs
educational offerings using processes that incorporate principles
of adult education and learning styles. Delivers education for
nursing orientation, conducts competency assessments, and
facilitates ongoing development. Establishes courses and programs
based on annual needs assessments and educational compliance
requirements. Maintains educational and competency records in
compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. This
position requires floating to different campuses as needed. 5
