Candidates who were employed PRN through outside firms will be considered.High risk unit, couplet care. Must be willing to do it all from start to finish. Ratios 1:3-4 couplets, LD anywhere from 1:1 to 1:2 , 1:1-3 antepartumsRequired Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, & AWHONN-Advanced. STABLE preferred.Common diagnoses/Types of patientspreterm labor/bleeding/inductions/cesarean sections/hypertensionExperience or 'Must have' skillsMust be able to float to MB and be able to circulate c-sections. Anesthesia in house 24/7.RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc)No ventsAre there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? Yes, must be able to read and interpret EKG strips on moms in PACU onlyEFM System: GE Corometric monitors - Fetalink surveillanceShifts & Scheduling:12 hr shifts. Shift starts 645. Report is at the bedside. OT and extra shifts are available. EOW and rotate with staff on holidaysIf placed on call - response time is 30 minutesFloating Requirements?All other Sacramento facilities. Mid-shift float to another facility is rare, but can happen. No in house floating. Scrubs: Provided- Baby Catcher is also known as the NRP role. This is sometimes filled by NICU staff and sometimes by L&D. Depends on who has the staff available to do it. But it is an assignment for the entire shift. Cancellation can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks Charting BSN License to Trauma Level: Care Shift Nights, EOW, First to Float Required , Advanced Fetal Monitoring, BLS Certification, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Contract Weeks:91 Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS AWHONN FHM BLS Core Exam - Nursing Ishihara Colorvision Screening L&D RN Exam L&D RN Skills Checklist NRP
