About SAGE Concord: Our SAGE Concord location opened a brand-new state-of-the-art facility in the summer of 2022! It is the largest Specialty and Emergency Hospital in the East Bay area. Our next-generation facility has allowed SAGE Concord to significantly expand its Emergency, Specialty, and Urgent Care services to the growing East Bay community. Our Specialty offerings consist of Emergency, Critical Care, Cardiology, Integrative Medicine, Internal Medicine, Oncology, and Surgery. This new facility features multiple advanced Surgery suites, as well as sophisticated Trauma response and Critical Care capabilities. We are on the hunt for an experienced RVT to join our emergency team! About the role: You will play a crucial role in partnering with our ER Doctors, providing top-notch customer experiences, and delivering outstanding patient care. Your day-to-day tasks will involve: - Triaging incoming patients and managing clients throughout their visit - Partner with DVM’s in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures - Obtaining and processing laboratory samples such as blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates - Utilize different modalities of imaging for patient assessment - Executing, monitoring, and recovering all assigned sedation and anesthetic events Compensation rate: - $25 - $40/hr - $5.50/hr differential paid for any hours worked between 6pm - 6am About You: - You are an individual with a positive attitude, a team player that genuinely loves people and their pets and wants to make an exceptional difference in the lives of patients and their families. - You can adapt to the individual needs of each patient and are looking for a friendly, fun, compassionate team environment and place a high value on continuing to enhance your knowledge and skill set. - You enjoy interacting and building relationships with clients, understand the importance of clear & effective communication, and are committed to outstanding client service and exceptional patient care. - You have a strong foundational understanding and can perform the basic responsibilities of a veterinary technician including (but not limited to): venipuncture, placing IV catheters, drug calculations, administration of medications (IV or other methods), Taking Vitals, and gathering medical history Basic Required Qualifications: - High school diploma - CA RVT license required - At least 2 years of clinical ER experience - Strong interpersonal skills - Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations - High level of venipuncture skills, math calculations, and patient handling Work Schedule: - Full-Time - 3/12 or 4/10 schedule Benefits: - Highly competitive and comparable wages based on experience and skill set. - Competitive Vet Assistant and RVT CE allowance annually - License application and renewal reimbursement for RVT’s - Financial support and onsite mentorship toward pursuit of VTS - Health and wellness programs - Opportunities for growth and advancement - Full-time benefits include health, dental, vision, disability and life insurances, flex-spending accounts, 401(k), Employee Assistance Program, vacation and sick time accrual, and uniforms Ethos Veterinary Health is at the forefront of innovation and world-class medicine.
