Job Description:
A terrific opportunity is now available in the San Francisco Bay
Area for a Clinical Nurse Educator of Maternal Child Health, at a
large non-profit Medical Center.The birth process is one of the
most exciting events in anyone's lives, and the Medical Center
performs 3,500 births annually. The Women's and Children's Clinical
Nurse Educator will be privileged to work in a 300 bed medical
center.The Perinatal Nurse Educator will oversee the nursing
education throughout the Birthing Center: 32 bed Mother Baby Unit,
11 L&D Beds, 2 Operating Rooms, 1 Antepartum, 5 Triage beds,
and a 25 bed level III NICUThe Labor and Delivery Clinical Nurse
Educator will report to the Nurse Director of Staff Development and
will collaborate with the Labor and Delivery Manager and Director.
The Perinatal Clinical Nurse Specialist will plan, manage, deliver
and evaluate continuing education and training interventions for
all health professionals and ancillary personnel as well as for
health professionals in the corporate and outside community. -The
Maternal Child Health CNS will effectively plan, manage and conduct
continuing professional and education/training programs. The Women
and Children's CNS will create innovative, cost effective
educational interventions which cross multiple health care system
boundaries. The Labor and Delivery Educator will also facilitate
positive professional interaction between health care groups,
nursing departments, management team and all affiliates.The Nurse
Educator Perinatal Services will have the opportunity to live in
one of the nations most iconic regions, the San Francisco Bay Area.
