An outstanding hospital in the Monterey Bay area is in search of a new Nurse Director of Acute Care Services.

The Nurse Director of Acute Care Services will join an organization with a rich history and reputation in the community.

The Nurse Director of Acute Care Services will report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer. Supported by 2 Managers and 2 Assistant Managers, this person will lead a fantastic team and busy MedSurg and Critical Care department with over 60 FTEs in a facility with over 100 beds. The staff here is passionate about the care they provide and are a happy and cohesive team, eagerly looking to welcome in a new Director.

The Nurse Director of Acute Care Services will be in charge of overseeing that clinical care provided in the Med Surg department is compassionate and thorough. This involves keeping staff up to date with current best practices and making sure they are following guidelines set by the hospital. In addition, the position requires collaboration with the CNO and other hospital managers to achieve the highest level of operational and clinical efficiency that aligns with the hospital's standards and values. The Director will also have command of budgeting and assure that the established budget is sufficient and followed. The Nurse Director of Acute Care Services will also have opportunities to develop their staff through education and quality improvement initiatives.
