Manager****About the Role:**As a Project Manager with my client,
you will play a pivotal role in leading remediation projects from
the initial bidding phase through successful completion. This
dynamic position requires you to oversee budgets, coordinate with
sub-contractors and vendors, manage the workforce, and ensure
seamless communication with our valued clients. Your contribution
will be instrumental in driving project success within defined
deadlines and budgets.**Key Responsibilities:***Leading Project
Initiatives*
- Administer the estimator-to-project manager handoff meeting,
ensuring alignment with our Standard Operating Procedures and
Project Management Workflow Process.
- Review project scope, budget, and best practices for effective
project execution and management.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical
paths.
- Lead a project-specific team towards the successful completion
of projects.*Effective Communication*
- Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related
information, fostering efficient communication between all
stakeholders.
- Ensure proper distribution and central filing of project
information to team members and sub-consultants.*Financial
Management*
- Implement project-specific cost tracking to administer the
construction budget.
- Notify clients of changes in project scope, including
preparation of change order estimates for out-of-scope work
elements.
- Review and approve all subcontractor monthly requisitions for
payment, including requisitions for final payment.*Team Leadership*
- Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and
contractors.
- Empower and influence your team to take positive action and
accountability for their assigned work.
- Manage Superintendents and Foremen to ensure the Field Team
understands their roles and responsibilities and holds them
accountable for their work.*Stakeholder Relationships*
- Build and develop business relationships vital to project
success.
- Conduct project postmortems with recommendation reports to
identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by
Management.**Qualifications:***Knowledge and Skills*
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods, crew
management, equipment, and production rates.
- Proven experience working both independently and
collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to
shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in managing potential conflicts within field
project teams.
- Familiarity with project management and estimating software is
beneficial but not required; training will be provided.
- Technical competence with various software programs, such as
Excel, Word, and MPP.*Education and Training*
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a
related field is desirable.
- Minimum of five (5) years of direct work experience in a
project management capacity.
- Experience in environmental remediation projects is
desirable.
- 40-Hr HAZWOPER or 8-Hr HAZWOPER Refresher is desirable, or
training will be provided.
- Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation.**Physical
Demands:**
- Ability to perform various physical tasks, including standing,
walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
- Vision abilities required for close work and color
distinction.
- Comfort working in outdoor conditions with exposure to various
weather conditions and occasional loud noise levels.**Work
Environment:**
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and equipment.
- Awareness of safety signs and signals, both visual and
audible.
- Frequent ladder and/or stair use.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
