Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration, and emergency response. -Position SummaryManages aspects of program development, implementation, and operations. Oversees administration of projects with a strong background in financials and budgets. - Report out on the financial health of the organization. -The Headquarters and work location be 375 N Wiget, Walnut Creek? This is also hybrid. -Job Responsibilities

  • Performs analysis on complex data models requiring customized reports and data and presents recommendations
  • Leads complex or midsize projects
  • Develops and manages department project and programs portfolio including priorities and resource plans including but not limited to human resources and financial. Regularly monitors expenses against forecast, providing explanation or justification for budget items and/or variances
  • Leads and supports the development of Project and Program Plans including but not limited to customer requirements, feasibility analysis, business case, project scope, stakeholder analysis, strategy execution, and provides recommendations on alternative solutions
  • Leads and supports the organization's budget, business/rate cases, and contracting process.
  • Identifies new partners, technologies, and delivery channels
  • Interfaces with various internal and external stakeholders to coordinate activities and communicate information and functionality of assets, project and programs objectives and status to solicit feedback and keep electric operations aligned and informed on asset data improvement initiatives Also to partner on exploring business process changes and impact analysis
  • Develops overall department performance reporting. Presents reports, department updates to all levels including senior leadership (Directors and Officers). Develops and provides recommendations for solutions and improvements
  • Leads and supports continuous improvement and change management activities
  • Mentors and provides guidance to less experienced colleagues
  • Uses knowledge of standards, business processes and related impacts to ensure asset data information is correct to support several business applications or processes for data inquires
  • Manage programs and projects budgets/funding, forecast spend monthly and to year end as well as accrue costs. -This position leads the organization's finance and a program budget of approximate $75M-$100M cap/ex as well as the administrative controls to meet these. -QualificationsMinimum:
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, or Accounting
    • Eight (8) years of related experience or equivalent
    • Experience managing budgetsDesired:
      • Master's Degree in job-related discipline
      • PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification
      • 10 years of related experience or equivalent
      • 5 years' experience working with Financials, Rate/Business Cases, Contracting and Sourcing.
      • Ability to use understanding of the business to help drive strategic decision making, and to recommend operational improvements
      • Ability to lead the largest most complex projects across the line of business supported (i.e., Customer Care, Human Resources, etc.)
      • Deep knowledge and expertise of business and or industry drivers
      • Ability to lead large and complex projects working with cross-functional teams
      • Ability to create compelling business cases based on complex business environments and inputs
      • Adept at addressing issues with diplomacy and tact
      • Experience working with vendors and supply chain
      • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
      • American Society of Quality Certification (Quality Engineer, Quality Auditor, or CMQ-OE)
      • Geographic Information System Professional certification
      • Strong analytical problem solving and decision-making ability
      • Strong Communication and Presentation Skills -
