Job Description:

General Position Summary: Responsible for managing and offering clinical supervision for a team of Intensive Care Coordinators (ICC), Intensive Home-Based Service (IHBS) workers, and Therapists who provide individual and family community-based support and case management for up to 15 foster children and families in need of enhanced strength based, child and family centered, and team coordinated mental health services. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: --- Provides administrative and clinical supervision for 3-8 staff members depending on growth of program --- Support and manage staff through regular observation, direct input and feedback, and performance evaluations --- Responsible for assigning clinical cases to staff and tracking their caseloads and productivity --- Responsible for reviewing and approving documentation, and assuring it is timely and accurate for program --- Facilitates weekly staff meetings, individual supervisions, and coordinates client care with other team members --- Attends weekly Senior Leadership Team meetings, regularly scheduled County CFS and MH meetings, and other meetings as part of Youth Homes' leadership --- Works closely with County MH for referrals, case coordination, documentation, and utilization review (UR) ---Assures program compliance with law and ethics, Integrated Core Practice Manual and UR requirements --- Reads, analyzes and interprets professional mental health reports and evaluations from County Social Services, County Mental Health, Probation, supportive housing programs, and psychiatric inpatient units --- Writes clearly and concisely using professional mental health conventions and language --- Works with VP CMH to establish goals and track Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the program --- Defines problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draws conclusions --- Other duties as assigned by the VP of Community MH Required Competencies: --- Skilled in administrative, management, and supervisory tasks --- Strong knowledge of the foster care system in California --- Knowledge of trauma-informed care --- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional mental health reports and evaluations --- Ability to communicate clearly and directly while remaining professional --- Ability to write clearly and concisely using professional mental health conventions and language --- Knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral techniques in working with children and adolescents --- Knowledge of family systems and field-based family behavioral engagement and treatment --- Knowledge of management techniques and supervisory best practices --- Knowledge of licensing, accreditation, and contract standards --- Knowledge of staffing development, process improvement methods, and outcome activities --- Ability to develop, analyze and monitor the annual program expenditures --- Strong oral and interpersonal communication skills and exceptional organizational skills --- Must be able to work in a diverse, multi-cultural environment and be sensitive to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics --- Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality, and exhibit mature judgment and emotional stability --- Commitment to improving personal knowledge, skills, and abilities --- Ability to read, comprehend and interpret complex information such as outcomes data and licensing reports --- Ability to interact well with various professionals --- Dynamic computer skills and the ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office Suite Minimum Qualifications: --- A current license in MFT or LCSW or Clinical Psychologist, holding a license in good standing for a minimum of two years --- A minimum of 5 years' experience working in community mental health --- A minimum of 1-year supervisory experience --- Experience in field-based behavioral coaching --- At least 6 initial hours training in clinical supervision --- Must be 21 years of age (licensing requirement) --- Possess a CA driver's license, with no restrictions --- Responsible for providing own well maintained and privately insured car for official travel when necessary. Ability to drive a private vehicle while observing safety rules and legal driving guidelines. Must maintain driving record that is acceptable to Youth Homes' automobile insurance carrier Other Requirements: --- Must pass all mandated security clearances, prior to employment --- Must pass a health and drug screening, prior to employment --- Must meet all training and agency compliance requirements for this position --- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
