Job Description:
Employer: Amazon Data Services, Inc. Position: HW Commodity
Specialist II (multiple positions available) Location: Cupertino,
California Multiple Positions Available: 1. Lead material
availability and supply chain readiness to enable timely launches
of critical new rack and server products for AWS. 2. Partner with
engineering to understand the technical requirements and translate
this to our external supply partners to ensure parts are delivered
to meet customer requirements. 3. Partner with internal
stakeholders and organizations to define business requirements,
provide feedback and influence product launches and scaling based
on external vendor supportability; 4. Provide supply chain inputs
to product roadmaps to ensure supply continuity. Bring together
cross- functional teams including engineering, product management,
supply chain and finance to consolidate and analyze different
product options and drive alignment on the roadmap. 5. Integrate
across supply chain commodity managers to maintain continuity of
supply while minimizing risk for excess and obsolete materials. 6.
Drive strategic BOM reviews and qualifications with internal teams.
Drive identification of single and sole source component risks,
identifying and implementing risk mitigation strategies and
qualifying alternates by working with engineering and supplier
teams. Drive rack integration second sourcing as risk mitigation.
7. Prepare and give detailed data-driven business reviews to senior
management, focused on procurement/sourcing execution and
continuity of good supply of standard and custom components with
associated impacts. Drive strategic and tactical engagement and
present business insights and program recommendations to senior
leaders across cross-functional teams in product management,
engineering, finance and supply chain; 8. Lead complex business and
technical initiatives across several internal and external
cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to troubleshoot
and problem-solve project issues, remove blockers, report status
and ultimately deliver the project while maintaining all project
constraints; and 9. Lead complex business, technical and functional
discussions with external vendors and internal teams during New
Product launches and product planning sessions. 10. Domestic and
International travel up to 5% of time. (40 hours / week,
8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range $114,182.00/year to $153,000.00/year)

Orientation A Master’s degree or foreign equivalent, in Supply
Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or
a related discipline and 3 years of experience in strategic
sourcing or procurement of hardware or related occupation. In the
alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign
equivalent, in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration,
Engineering, Finance or a related discipline followed by 5 years of
progressively responsible experience in strategic sourcing or
procurement of hardware or related occupation. Experience must
include: 1. 3 years of experience with data analysis tools such as
advanced Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, or Tableau. 2. 3 years of
experience creating, iterating, and improving end-to-end global
component sourcing procurement and supply chain strategies. 3. 3
years of experience with supply chain modeling. The pay range for
this position in Cupertino, California is $114,182.00/year to
$153,000.00/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on
job-related knowledge, skills, and experience A sign-on bonus and
restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation
package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or
other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information
