Job Summary:
The Multi-Processor server group is seeking a talented Product Engineer to be part of a growing team that manages 4 sockets and 8 socket servers. The ideal PE candidate should have either relevant industry experience or are familiar with the server hardware industry, can hit the ground running from day 1, and most importantly be a team player. This individual should also be able to perform their day-to-day duties with minimal supervision and help support internal teams with product or process issues.

This position will be based in our headquarters located in San Jose, CA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

* Develop and enhance product designs to improve performance and efficiency.

* Work with product managers and account teams to build proof-of-concept systems for customer qualification

* Troubleshoot system issues in production/manufacturing and assist RMA repair teams with subject matter expertise

* Manage system bill-of-materials and ECO's

* Prepare specifications, and documentation to support manufacturing and product development.

* Work with internal and external lab to validate new hardware and firmware releases

* Proactively engage in learning and researching new technologies and products

* Work with sales and customers to provide support, acting as the liaison between internal departments
Qualifications:
* BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Material Engineering, or other relevant engineering field preferred

* Minimum of 3 years of system or mechanical engineering experience is desirable

* Experience in configuring computer systems

* Familiar with Windows Server and Linux operating systems

* Background in mechanical is a plus

* Experience in ProE, CAD design is a plus

* Good communication skills, including both written and verbal
Salary Range
$84,000 - $134,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
