Position description The Department of Internal Medicine at the
University of California, Davis School of Medicine is recruiting
for a full-time faculty member in the Professor of Clinical X or
Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the
Assistant/Associate/Full Professor rank as a Non-Invasive
Specialist in Cardiovascular Medicine. Faculty in the Clinical X
series are expected to engage in professional competence and
activity, teaching, research and creative work, and
University/public service. Faculty in the Health Sciences Clinical
Professor series are expected to engage in teaching, professional
competence and activity, scholarly or creative activities, and
University/public service. EXPECTATIONS Cardiovascular Medicine
Faculty responsibilities include direct inpatient and outpatient
clinical care; teaching medical students, residents, and fellows;
university/public service; and regular attendance at scheduled
meetings and CME activities. The incumbents should be able to
provide expert clinical care in cardiovascular medicine with an
advanced focus on echocardiography, including procedural guidance
for structural heart procedures. The successful candidate will work
collaboratively with a diverse group of cardiologists, cardiac
surgeons, and nurse practitioners in one of the most highly
regarded Cardiovascular Program in the United States. For the full

qualifications (required at time of application) Candidates must
possess or be eligible for the following: • M.D., M.D./Ph.D., D.O.
or equivalent degree • Board certification/eligibility in specialty
• Medical licensure or eligible for licensure in the state of
California • ACGME accredited fellowship or equivalent experience •
Teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level • Strong
clinical skills and an interest in Cardiovascular Medicine
