Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.

considered. This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to
support elementary students in grades 3rd through 5th at an
elementary school in Santa Cruz, CA. This ESY contract position
offers a supportive environment for educators with credentials in
California Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs. Start
immediately and work through June 12, 2026, with a full-time
schedule of 37.5 hours per week across five days. Key
Qualifications: Valid California teaching credentials for
Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs Experience working with
elementary-aged children, particularly grades 3-5 Autism
endorsement is highly desirable and will be considered a
significant asset Strong communication and collaboration skills for
working with multidisciplinary teams Role Responsibilities: Develop
and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to
students unique needs Provide direct instruction and support to
students with moderate to severe disabilities Collaborate with
staff, parents, and specialists to promote academic and social
growth Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies
accordingly Maintain detailed documentation and comply with state
