Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Speech Language Pathologist Discipline: Therapy Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours Employment Type: Local Contract RCM Health Care is looking for full or part time Speech Language Pathologists or Speech Language Pathologist Assistants working with school students in person during school hours. \n \n Primary Purpose: \n \nPlan and provide speech-language pathology services to students with speech, voice, or language disorders. Assess students and provide therapeutic intervention to eliminate or reduce problems or impairments that interfere with their students’ ability to derive full benefit from the educational program. \n \n \n Qualifications: Education/Certification: \n \n\t Master’ s degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited college or university\n\t Valid California license as a speech-language pathologist granted by the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (SBESLPA)\n\t Valid driver's license with driving record that meets District requirements\n \n \n Special Knowledge/Skills: \n\n \n\t Ability to use the accepted tests and measurements to assess communication disorders and conditions\n\t Knowledge of evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation of speech-language disorders and conditions\n\t Ability to instruct and manage student behavior\n\t Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills\n \n \n Major Responsibilities and Duties: \n\n \n\t Plan and provide appropriate individual and group therapy to students consistent with speech and language goals contained in Individual Education Plans (IEP).\n\t Evaluate student progress and determine readiness for termination of therapy services.\n\t Conduct independent evaluations to assess students with speech or language disorders and conditions to determine eligibility for services.\n\t Develop clinical management strategies or procedures and diagnostic statements by interpreting observations or data.\n\t Participate in the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee to assist in interpretation of assessment data, appropriate placement, and goal setting for students with communication disorders or conditions according to district procedures.\n\t Counsel and involve parents in remedial process.\n\t Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and implement classroom activities to improve communication skills of students.\n\t Provide professional development in assigned schools to help school personnel identify and understand communication deficits in students.\n\t Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents regarding the accomplishment of therapy goals and needs of the student.\n\t Create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the maturity level and interests of students.\n\t Establish control and administer discipline according to the Student Code of Conduct and student handbook.\n\t May supervise licensed speech-language pathology assistant(s) or speech aide(s).*\n\t Develop and coordinate a continuing evaluation of speech-language pathology services and make changes based on the findings.\n\t Assist in the selection of equipment and instructional materials.\n\t Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other required documents.\n\t Comply with policies established by federal and state laws, State Board of Education rule, and board policy.\n\t Comply with all district and campus routines and regulations.\n\t Participate in professional development activities to improve skills related to job assignment.\n \n \n Supervisory Responsibilities: \n \n May direct and monitor the work of speech-language pathology assistant(s) or speech aide(s).* \n \nSchedule: \n2024-2025 School Year - Will follow Academic Calendar \n \nBenefits \nMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance \nLife and Disability insurance \n401K Flex Spending \nReferral Bonus Program \nWeekly Direct Deposit \n \nCompensation \n$45-$48/hour - based on experience SLPA \n$65-$70/hour - based on experience SLP \n \nAbout Us: \nRCM Health Care Services’ mission is to provide opportunities for qualified candidates across medical professions.
