Job Description:
Architect, design, and implement NetScout's real-time
geo-analysis tool, TrueCall. Perform geolocation and data analysis to enhance call data with crucial information for
geo-analytic tasks. Perform statistical evaluation of geolocation techniques. Develop new and maintain existing
geolocation algorithms applied to real-time high-volume call data. Develop new features and functions to support the
design, analysis, and optimization of wireless telecom networks. Design, code, and test new features for geolocating
call data, as well as estimate mobile users' status and environment. Optimize data structures and algorithms. Document
feature requirements and design. Leverage advanced mathematical and statistical knowledge to design more
accurate and efficient geolocation algorithms and to write prototype algorithms if applicable. Design algorithms
suited for multi-threaded and distributed applications to be deployed worldwide. Implement and maintain unit and
integration tests and ensure delivery of high quality features. Interface with deployment teams stationed at domestic
and international customer sites for verification of deployed software. Education & Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in
Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or related field (willing to accept foreign education
equivalent) plus 2 years of experience designing, coding, and testing features in C++ for telecommunications applications
and leveraging advanced statistical techniques to analyze the results. Or, alternatively, no degree and 4 years of
experience designing, coding, and testing features in C++ for telecommunications applications and leveraging advanced
statistical techniques to analyze the results. Also requires the following skills: 1) Demonstrated expertise
(DE) leveraging C and C++ programming languages for software development; and Perl or Python scripting language for
software testing; 2) DE leveraging geospatial data structures and designing geolocation algorithms; 3) DE
performing machine learning-based geolocation analysis; and, 4) DE developing features to support the design, analysis, and
