Job Description:
Design, code, and test new features and functions for Telecom
software applications. Develop new features and modules for software
applications, as well as develop software to support the design, analysis,
and optimization of wireless telecom networks. Analyze call data
and performance parameters of Radio Area Networks (RAN), and develop
predictive models for RAN planning and optimization. Design, code, and test
new features and functions that transform data on LTE and UMTS
cellular networks, as well as develop and optimize data structures and
algorithms. Develop and maintain intuitive cross-platform server,
infrastructure, and GUI code. Design and develop distributed and multi-threaded
applications that will be deployed nationwide, as well as develop systems
integration code for 3rd party software. Utilize Integration Development
Environments (IDE’s) including Visual Studio, Eclipse, and Vim to develop
software applications. Perform coding or prototyping using C/C++ for
network monitoring and management solutions. Interface with installation
and deployment teams stationed at national and international
customer sites for verification of deployed software. Education & Experience Requirements: Master's degree (or
foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering,
Information Systems or related field 3 years of experience performing C++
software development and big data processing in real time multi-threaded
computing environments. Or in the alternative, a Bachelor's degree (or
foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering,
Information Systems or related field and 5 years of experience performing
C++ software development and big data processing in real time multi-threaded
computing environments. Also requires (1) Demonstrated expertise (DE)
developing predictive models and theories for network optimization
algorithms; (2) DE analyzing call data and performance parameters of Radio Area
Networks (RAN); (3) DE developing Extract-Transform-Load (ETL)
applications and frameworks to calculate network performance data; and, (4) DE
leveraging network configuration tools to simulate and optimize 3G, 4G, and
