Job Description:

Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of materials. Negotiates and purchases all raw materials needed, then ensures delivery, payment, data entry of transactions, and maintains inventory at planned levels. Coordinates the manufacturing and purchase requirements for company 3rd party manufacturing facilities domestically. Communicates regularly to international companies that provide raw materials. Gathers quotations, examines bids and makes awards. Develops specifications for new contract orders. Reviews, selects and evaluates vendors, both primary and alternate, based on service, quality, custom compliance, ability to deliver, and price. Identifies purchase price and requirements of all active ingredients through a specific formula. Develops and ensures compliance with U.S. Customs. Controls a detailed demand forecast system with the sales organization to meet requirements vs. normal sales planning to support consignment and load-up of customer facilities.
